Arsenic trioxide

CAS Number: 1327-53-3. A white or transparent solid in the form
of glassy, shapeless lumps, or a crystalline powder that
resembles sugar. It has no odor or taste. It is produced from
by-products of copper smeltin. It is then used in the
manufactore of other arsenic compounds which are used as wood
preservatives, insecticides and herbicides. It is also used in
metallurgical process and in the manufacture of glass and
ceramics. Chemical formula = As2O3. Molecular weight = 197.84
g/mol.
